Celebrating 40 Years of Maleny Meals on Wheels

On the 24th of August 2023, past and present Maleny MOW volunteers came together to celebrate 40 years of Maleny Meals on Wheels.

The event was held at Maleny's only historic house, Pattemore House. This location held extra significance for one of the past volunteers, Val, who is a direct descendant of the residents of this historic house.

RangeCare's Volunteer Coordinator, Cara, shared a wonderful speech about the history of Meals on Wheels in Maleny and mentioned how grateful we are to have so much support in our local community.

RangeCare's COO, Gary Holland, was also in attendance and gave a speech thanking the volunteers for their generosity. He said, "You provide more than just meals. You provide a smile, love, home and support." He also shared that the volunteers inspire him.
