Volunteer
RangeCare is a local, not-for-profit organisation providing a full range of in-home and social support services to help people live independently across the Blackall Range and surrounding areas.

RangeCare volunteers make a valued contribution to the wellbeing of our clients—bringing connection, support, and community spirit to everything they do.

Volunteering at RangeCare
At RangeCare, we’re incredibly grateful for the support of around 110 dedicated community members who generously give their time to help us care for our clients and their carers. Their contribution is deeply valued—by offering their time in meaningful ways, our volunteers help create connections and experiences that enrich the support we provide to the community.

Our volunteers make a difference across a variety of roles, including:

-
Meals on Wheels: Volunteers collect and deliver nutritious meals to homes in Maleny.
-
Transport Assistance: Volunteer drivers help clients get to and from appointments safely.
-
Kitchen Support: Volunteers assist with meal preparation at our Social Centres in Flaxton, Nambour, and Gympie.
-
Day Centre Activities: Volunteers support social programs at our Centres in Nambour, Flaxton, and Gympie.
-
Social Support: Volunteers offer companionship through home visits or regular phone calls, helping older people stay connected.
-
Op Shop Support: Volunteers help run the RangeCare Op Shop in Mapleton.
Whether it’s a friendly chat, a warm meal, or a helping hand, our volunteers bring kindness and connection to those who need it most.

Volunteer Testimonials
“Volunteering allows unlimited opportunity for growth, fulfilment and happiness by allowing us to embrace a wider, more diverse "family" and I am loving the experience!”
Lin - Volunteer
“Volunteering is a way for me to give back to those in need, connect with people who may not have many social connections, and contribute to something truly meaningful and deeply appreciated. It gives me a sense of purpose and fulfilment and reminds me that even small acts—like delivering meals—can make a big difference. The gratitude from the customers is truly heartwarming.”
